About Me

Hi, I'm Noelle! I am a true Midwestern girl and my husband is from the Middle East. We recently purchased several acres of land in the beautiful, rolling Kettle Moraines of Wisconsin. Our dream is to own a small hobby farm someday, maybe when we both quit our day jobs! We are real foodies who love to create in the kitchen. Our recipes are influenced by culture and our desire to eat real, wholesome and nutritious food. Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was in high school. I hope that this blog will give me a creative outlet to share my photos, recipes, some of our home projects and the other stuff of life.

Middle Easterners are known for their hospitality. We love to share our recipes and give our guests a little taste of the Middle East. Since you can't visit my home, I hope share these things with you via the web! The title of my blog is inspired by the beautiful grapevines growing in our yard, and one of my favorites, the delicious fig, also very common in the Middle East. Deuteronomy 8: 7-10 is our mantra for our home and property:
7 For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.
